Job Description:
Our client a British manufacturer of agricultural machinery is seeking a full time logistics operative to join their established team.
What we offer:
- £13.60 per hour
- Tuesday – Friday
- 41 Hours per week.
- 06.30 – 16.45
- Full-time permanent position.
The role:
- Assist with the unloading/loading of lorries.
- Ensure all goods are correctly received and signed for
- Kit & deliver components to the assembly line, accurately and on time. Also report any shortages to the relevant people immediately.
- Assist with the loading of machines/Goods to be dispatched and all the relevant paperwork is correct. Involves using overhead cranes.
- Maintain, monitor and correct stock and their locations. Including regular stock checks.
- Ensure sufficient stock levels of critical parts.
- Ensure a safe and clean working environment.
- Carry out daily forklift checks.
- Counterbalance and bendi forklift use involved throughout logistics roles.
- Rotate through all other logistics departments on site.
Requirements:
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of numeracy and the ability to interpret data.
- Good interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritise effectively.
- A methodical approach to your work.
- In date FLT licence.
