Job Description:
Our client a British manufacturer of agricultural machinery is seeking a full time accounts payable to join their team pending a successful interview.
What we offer:
- £26,000 DOE
- Monday - Friday
- 08:00-16:15
- Permanent position
The role:
- Take ownership of Accounts Payable, with a view to ensuring timely payment of purchase invoices, whilst building & maintaining good working relationships with suppliers.
- Management of the Purchase ledger, including liaison with purchasing staff, in order to ensure timely and accurate invoice processing, as well as maintenance of accurate data on the Epicor accounts system.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures including authorization of purchase invoices, and take all appropriate steps to guard against the risk of error and/or fraud.
- Provide support and cover to other members of the Accounts team and assist with the general accounting & administration of the company.
- Expand and develop knowledge of the Epicor ERP system.
- Support the Finance Director with other duties when required.
Experience
- Experience of Purchase Ledger work (and other Accounts functions) desirable, but not necessarily essential for a highly motivated individual.
- Experience in a substantial “real world” industrial or commercial environment would be very useful.
- Experience of using accounts software.
Requirements / Qualifications:
- Educated to A-level standard or equivalent.
- GCSE or equivalent in English Language & Maths.
- Progress towards a qualification such as AAT would be advantageous, but not essential.
